COTTON (CO): Cotton is a strong water absorbing fiber, therefore, it is a fiber which is very suitable for absorbing urine, blood and other liquids coming from the body. It has a positive feature since it can naturally breathe, i.e. it holds the liquid, and allows the gas and water vapor to pass. Its wet strength is high and it does not indicate slipperiness as synthetic fibers. In addition to them, cotton fibers have been used widely since they have good absorbing features, biodegradability, covering, easy sterilization, resistant against head (it protects its strength well up to 175 oC), well insulating, non-allergic, recyclable features and to be soft and good water holding capacities.
